Sometimes, it may seem like no one understands. You seem to have it all - the husband, the career, your own business, the kids, stay at home life. Whatever combination of these things you may have, it may seem like you already achieved everything there is to achieve to the outside eye. It may get hard at times but you are Juggling it all "Like A Boss"!
Acknowledge the Challenge
Every woman wants to be a superhero. The perfect house. A nice clean car. Well-behaved kids. A high-paying job. Why can't we do it all? No matter how hard we try, it seems like something always steps right into the midst of our path to perfection. Oftentimes, that obstacle is called "life."
Despite our best intentions, seldom does everything go off without a hitch. What we can do about setbacks is plan for them, embrace them, accept them, and move on. What we can't do it sit there and wallow in our own self-pity. Becoming frustrated, defeated, and subservient to complications throughout the day sets you, and everyone around you, up for those feelings that emanate from you. So, when the dog eats your shoe or the baby gets sick or your boss reprimands you, turn to a positive response, instead.
Turn It Around
Your outlook determines your destiny. What you believe is what you will achieve. Ever heard of these cliché quotes? If not, log on to any social media platform, and you will find them in abundance. Yet, there is some truth to these affirmations. How you see the world around you will control everything from your attitude to your joy to your response from those around you.
Adjusting your assessment of the world around you can generate positive results. As soon as you begin to search for opportunities to take advantage of, you will begin to prosper. Be thankful for the gentleman who held the door for you. Be grateful for the home that you have. Do something nice for others. Give yourself grace with your busy schedule. You will begin to see your life evolve when you change your mindset.
Plan for Delays
When your day is jam-packed with work, activities, home school lessons, daily errands, and requests from your spouse, it can get very stressful when just one task takes longer than expected. While it is always an advantage to make a schedule, be prepare for things to not go as planned. Though it might sound counter intuitive, planning for the worst will reduce the amount of frustration from foiled scheduling. By giving yourself extra time for mishaps, you may be pleasantly surprised to be presented with downtime if everything miraculously goes as planned. An unintended coffee break? Yes, please! An extra home school lesson to get ahead? Sure, I'm all in!
Create a Schedule and Stick to It
As previously mentioned, creating a schedule is the ultimate way to manage your time between your own self, spouse, kids, and business. However, a schedule is only beneficial if you can stick to it. Creating a plan that it too strict will ultimately set you up for failure, while one that is too lax will never yield any results. Finding that perfect balance is hard, but necessary.
Visual representations of all that you plan, accomplish, and future goals can help create structure. While some people prefer to use paper planners, others enjoy the ease of scheduling on a virtual calendar. The method is up to you, but the ultimate goals should be clearly defined and measured.
Share your schedule with others! Even with the best intentions, conflicts can arise when miscommunication prevails. Creating a central location for reference among family members can help reduce conflict and frustration from overlapping events. Coordinating schedules and event priorities is made easier with an intuitive scheduling resource. This same theory can even be used for work partners, school committees, and self-development.
Get Organized
While some things are out of your control, becoming and staying organized is not one of them. Creating organization and maintaining order at work, school, and home can reduce the amount of time spent on any given task. Don't search for that bill that you have to pay every month. Eliminate the clutter on the kitchen table. Provide your children with allocated home school activities for each day. All these tips can be used in various facets of your life yet produce the same result of better organization.
Take Some Time to Yourself
As mothers, spouses, employees, and friends, it's easy to become so focused on others that we put ourselves last. Yet, you can't save another person without first putting your own mask on. Or at least that's what the airlines say. Fill your cup, so that you can also ooze into the cups of others. Take time to enjoy your hobbies, refresh your body with relaxation, and spend time doing things that make you happy. Those around you will thank you for being a more authentic, happy version of yourself.
You Can't Do It All

I told you social media affirmations are abundant. Make a list of the tasks you need to get done in any given week and decide when they're going to get done. Too much to accomplish in one week? You'll need to borrow another tried and true technique from the office - delegate. Learn to let the minuscule details of daily chaos fall to the wayside.
At times, it's easy to get overwhelmed and feel like no matter what you do, you're making a sacrifice in one area of your life or another. I'm here to remind you to take a deep breath in, then a deep breath out. Now, repeat after me: I am a boss. I can do everything; I can do anything.
